The Race
The Course
There's no other race in Texas like this - and not many in the US for that matter. The race takes place on a rocky single track trail that loops the course. You'll experience red rock canyons and buffalo herds that roam wild. You'll run through prairie dog towns on a course that's beautiful yet tough and rugged; down to the canyon's bottom and up to cliff tops with a 100 mile view.
Don't miss the chance to run with Bison as the park is home to the Texas State Bison Herd and is the state’s largest herd.

Registration will remain open until the start of each distance - unless the race is Sold Out.
A runner can step up or down in race distance up until the official race start time. After race start, changes in distances result in a DNF.

This is an environmentally friendly race. Please bring your refillable water bottles and we will refill them at the aid stations. It's our goal to keep the trails litter free to preserve their beauty.

Park Pass
Purchase your Texas State Park Pass prior to race day and have it printed (and with you) when entering the park. The park headquarters will be closed when you enter in the morning. Purchase your pass and have it on your dash or you will be ticketed. Passes are per person. Park in the designated areas and follow the parking attendant instructions. Shuttle Update
There will be NO shuttle service from the parking lot to the Start/Finish line this year.
We highly suggest arriving no less than 30 minutes early to ensure you have time to ride the shuttle or walk to Start / Finish, and begin your race on time.
Important: Only registered volunteers will be permitted to park at the Start/Finish area.
